The upcoming iPhone 18 Pro is already generating buzz ahead of its official launch, with its newly introduced “dark cherry” color emerging as a clear favourite among users.

According to recent reports, Apple is planning a notable shift in its color strategy, focusing on more vibrant and distinctive shades. A recent survey indicates that nearly 48.5 percent of respondents selected the dark cherry option as their top choice, highlighting strong consumer interest in the new finish.

The dark cherry shade is described as a refined blend of deep red and maroon tones, offering a premium and eye-catching appearance. It appears to stand out from Apple’s traditionally muted palette, signaling a move toward bolder design choices.

Other color options in the survey trailed behind, with dark grey securing around 20 percent of the vote, followed by light blue at 16 percent. Silver, a classic option, attracted only 4 percent, while about 11 percent of participants said they were not satisfied with any of the proposed colors.

Reports also suggest that Apple may phase out some previous finishes, including the “cosmic orange” variant introduced in earlier models, replacing it with more mature and sophisticated tones. At the same time, the possible return of the silver variant indicates that the company still values classic aesthetics alongside modern experimentation.

This trend toward bold colors is not limited to iPhones. Apple is reportedly extending similar design ideas to other devices, including its Mac lineup, as it explores ways to appeal to a broader audience.

While official confirmation is still awaited, early reactions suggest that the dark cherry variant could become one of the standout features of the iPhone 18 Pro upon release.
