Led by Mohammad Rizwan, RawalPindiz opted to field in what is a crucial fixture for Islamabad United, who are still in contention for the playoffs. Islamabad United, captained by Shadab Khan, currently sit third on the points table with nine points from seven matches. Their campaign includes four wins, while one fixture was abandoned due to rain, keeping them in the race for a playoff spot.

The match presents an opportunity for Islamabad United to strengthen their position in the standings, while RawalPindiz will look to end their losing streak and finish their campaign on a positive note.

Both teams feature a mix of local and international talent. RawalPindiz’s lineup includes players such as Sam Billings, Daryl Mitchell, and Naseem Shah, while Islamabad United boast names like Devon Conway, Imad Wasim, and Faheem Ashraf.

The contest is being closely watched as the tournament approaches its final stages, with teams competing for limited playoff spots. Conditions at the Karachi venue are expected to play a role, particularly in the second innings under lights.
