Published on: April 24, 2026 1:44 AM

Apna Khet Apna Rozgar Scheme

Punjab launches Apna Khet Apna Rozgar Scheme Portal as Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz formally inaugurated the initiative in Lahore. The program aims to support unemployed farmers by providing land and creating sustainable income opportunities across rural areas.

Under the scheme, more than 88,000 families are expected to benefit from 13,812 agricultural plots across different districts. The government plans to improve rural livelihoods and strengthen the agricultural sector through this large-scale initiative.

According to the official statement, eligible farmers will receive land for a period of 10 years. Each successful applicant will be allocated agricultural land worth between 2.5 million and 4 million rupees. However, the land must be used strictly for farming purposes only.

In addition, construction on the allotted land will not be allowed. Farmers will have the freedom to grow crops of their choice based on local conditions. This flexibility aims to increase productivity and encourage innovation in farming practices.

Furthermore, the government will provide a one-time development grant ranging from 50,000 to 250,000 rupees per acre. Interested applicants can apply between May 2 and May 18. Punjab launches Apna Khet Apna Rozgar Scheme Portal as officials plan regular monitoring visits twice a year to review farming progress.
