Gold prices slashed by Rs 5,200 per tola

The prices of gold decreased in the local market on Thursday, with 24 karat gold per tola falling by Rs 5,200 to settle at Rs 493,762 compared to Rs 498,962 on the previous trading day, according to rates issued by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association. Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24 karat gold decreased by Rs 4,458 to Rs 423,321 from Rs 427,779, whereas 10 grams of 22 karat gold went down by Rs 4,087 to Rs 388,058 against Rs 392,145. In the international market, the price of gold decreased by $52 to $4,714 per ounce from $4,766. Meanwhile, the price of silver per tola decreased by Rs 225 to Rs 8,099 from Rs 8,324, while the price of 10 grams of silver also declined by Rs 193 to Rs 6,943 from Rs 7,136. The price of silver in the international market decreased by $2.25 to $76.15 per ounce from $78.40.
