Araghchi arrives as Pakistan hosts US Iran talks

Published on: April 24, 2026 5:46 PM

Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi is expected to arrive in Islamabad late Friday night, according to state media. He will lead a small delegation for discussions linked to ongoing Iran-US peace efforts. Pakistan is facilitating the diplomatic process amid regional tensions.

The delegation is first scheduled to hold talks with Pakistan’s leadership and mediation team. These discussions are expected to focus on regional stability and efforts to revive dialogue between Washington and Tehran. Officials say a second round of Iran-US talks in Islamabad may follow.
