Punjab CBD chief reviews strategic projects, traffic management plans

The Chief Executive Officer of the Punjab Central Business District Development Authority (PCBDDA), also known as Central Business District Punjab (CBD Punjab), Mr. Imran Amin, chaired a high-level progress review meeting to assess future strategic initiatives and the ongoing development works.

The meeting was attended by senior officials including Executive Director Technical Riaz Hussain, Director Project Management Asif Iqbal, Director Construction Asif Babar, and Director Architecture & Planning Sameer Aftab Sial. Representatives from partner organizations, including NESPAK Project Manager Jamshed Janjua and NSIT Project Manager Yasir Saifullah, along with project contractors, also participated.

A key agenda item was the improvement of traffic flow along Main Boulevard and at the CBD Punjab Junction. CEO CBD Punjab reviewed multiple engineering and planning solutions aimed at ensuring smooth vehicular movement and preventing congestion in line with the district’s expanding commercial activity.

During the meeting, Mr. Imran Amin also conducted a comprehensive review of ongoing developments, including the infrastructure progress of CBD NSIT City, final finishing works at CBD Vertex, and structural advancements of the CBD Walk project.

Expressing satisfaction with the pace of progress, the CEO stated that all CBD Punjab projects are being executed in accordance with international standards. He directed the concerned teams to expedite the completion of finishing works at CBD Vertex and accelerate infrastructure development at NSIT City.

He further emphasized the importance of completing the structural phase of CBD Walk within the stipulated timeline to ensure timely project delivery.

Concluding the meeting, Mr. Imran Amin instructed all teams to maintain strict quality control at every stage of construction. He reiterated that the ultimate objective is to develop CBD Punjab into a modern, world-class business hub, setting new benchmarks for urban regeneration and economic growth in the region.
