King Charles urged unity between the United States and the United Kingdom during a rare address to the US Congress. He emphasized shared democratic values at a time of rising global tensions. The speech came amid divisions over the Iran conflict and wider geopolitical uncertainty affecting allies.

Speaking to lawmakers in Washington, the king highlighted the long-standing alliance between the two nations. He said both countries remain committed to defending democracy and protecting their citizens. He also paid tribute to shared sacrifices in past global conflicts.

Charles referenced major historical events, including September 11 and both world wars. He stressed that cooperation remains essential in addressing modern threats such as the war in Ukraine. His remarks also warned against rising isolationist political trends.

During a later state banquet, US President Donald Trump commented on the Iran situation and ongoing military developments. However, the king avoided direct political responses on the matter. Officials from Buckingham Palace and Downing Street declined to comment on Trump’s remarks.
