Dreame Nebula NEXT debuts rocket-assisted concept car in US - Chinadaily.com.cn

A Chinese technology company has unveiled a futuristic concept vehicle equipped with rocket booster, claiming it can accelerate from 0 to 100 kilometres per hour in just 0.9 seconds.

The vehicle, named Nebula Next 01 Jet Edition, was introduced in the United States by Chinese company Dreame, which is primarily known for manufacturing smart home appliances such as vacuum cleaners and cleaning devices.

The company said the concept car features a dual rocket booster system designed to deliver extreme acceleration performance. According to Dreame, aerospace-inspired technology has been integrated into the vehicle, allowing the booster mechanism to respond within 150 milliseconds.

Robot vacuum maker Dreame Technology is officially entering the supercar game. Its NebulaNext01 JET concept features a dual solid-rocket booster system, 0–100 km/h acceleration in just 0.9 seconds, and 100 kN of thrust. Officials described the project as an experimental fusion of automotive and aerospace engineering, aimed at showcasing future mobility possibilities rather than immediate commercial production.

In addition to the rocket-assisted acceleration system, the electric vehicle is equipped with an all-solid-state battery capable of delivering a driving range of up to 550 kilometres on a single charge.

The company stated that this battery technology offers improved energy efficiency compared to conventional lithium-based battery systems and is intended to support longer range and higher performance.

The concept vehicle also includes a LiDAR detection system capable of identifying objects at distances of up to 600 metres, which is designed to improve safety and reduce the risk of collisions. Dreame entered the automotive discussion in August 2025 when it announced plans to explore vehicle technology, expanding beyond its traditional focus on home appliances.

Company representatives said the concept demonstrates its innovation ambitions and highlights how advanced engineering could influence future transportation solutions. Despite the bold performance claims, Dreame clarified that the Nebula Next 01 Jet Edition is currently a concept model only and is not intended for commercial sale.

Industry observers have noted growing interest among technology companies in entering the electric vehicle and smart mobility sector, often through experimental designs and concept platforms. The launch has attracted attention online due to the vehicle’s unusual rocket-assisted design and exceptionally rapid acceleration claims.
