Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi said the Pakistan Super League (PSL) was successfully held despite difficult circumstances. He credited divine support and strong fan turnout for the smooth completion of the tournament. His remarks came during an informal interaction with journalists in Lahore on Monday.
Naqvi said the event took place during what he described as a challenging period, but expressed gratitude for its successful execution. He further noted that fan participation in playoff matches was also impressive, calling it a positive sign for the league’s future. Naqvi announced that the next edition, PSL 12, will be expanded with additional venues. He said the tournament would be bigger and better than previous seasons.
The PCB chairman also said obtaining permission for spectators was not easy, including approval from the prime minister. He said the government’s concerns included minimizing fuel consumption during the events. Despite these challenges, he said arrangements were made to ensure public access to matches.
