Selena Gomez marks milestone with mental health mission success

Published on: May 6, 2026 4:20 PM

Selena Gomez is celebrating a meaningful achievement as she reflects on the continued growth of her mental health initiative, which has become a central part of her work and public voice. Moreover, the milestone highlights her long-term commitment to promoting emotional wellbeing and encouraging self-acceptance among young people worldwide through consistent advocacy and action.

On May 5, Gomez shared the release of Rare Beauty’s 2025 Social Impact Report through Instagram, using the moment to reconnect with fans and underline the purpose that inspired the brand from its earliest days. Additionally, she emphasized how the journey has evolved into a collective effort that goes far beyond beauty products and into meaningful social change.

In her message, Gomez expressed pride in what has been achieved so far, noting that each annual report reminds her why she started the initiative and how far it has come. Furthermore, she acknowledged that the progress reflects not only her vision but also the dedication of a growing global community supporting mental health awareness.

She also thanked her supporters for playing a vital role in expanding the mission, stressing that mental health and self-acceptance remain at the core of everything connected to the brand. As a result, the initiative continues to build a strong emotional connection with audiences who relate to its message and values.

Importantly, Gomez launched the Rare Impact Fund in 2020 alongside Rare Beauty, aiming to increase access to mental health resources while reducing stigma for young people across different regions. Since then, the fund has raised nearly $20 million, showing steady progress toward making support systems more accessible and inclusive globally.

In addition, the brand contributes one percent of all sales directly to organizations working to improve youth mental health services, reinforcing its long-term commitment to real impact. Therefore, Gomez’s initiative stands as a growing example of how influence and business can combine to drive meaningful social change.
