Police restricted media from entering the jail complex during court proceedings involving accused Anmol alias Pinky in Karachi on Tuesday, citing official directives from senior authorities.
According to reports, police personnel deployed outside the jail complex informed media representatives that they had received strict instructions not to allow journalists access to the premises during the hearing.
Officials on site reportedly told reporters that permission for media coverage had not been authorised, preventing journalists from observing or covering the proceedings inside the complex.

Anmol alias Pinky was arrested earlier this month from her apartment in Karachi’s Garden area during a joint operation conducted by police and a civilian intelligence agency.
Authorities said the arrest was made in connection with two separate cases involving alleged possession of narcotics and an unlicensed weapon.
The latest restrictions come a day after journalists were also reportedly asked to leave the jail complex during earlier hearings related to the same case.
Earlier, a local court approved the production of the accused at the Judicial Complex in relation to multiple registered cases.
The order was issued during proceedings concerning her appearance before the City Court, where the court directed that the accused be presented before a judicial magistrate at the Judicial Complex.
Investigating officers had previously approached the court of the District and Sessions Judge South, requesting permission to produce the accused at the jail complex instead of the City Court.
The request reflected security and logistical considerations linked to handling the high-profile case.
The matter has attracted public and media attention due to the allegations involved and the restrictions imposed on courtroom access.
Media representatives have raised concerns over limited access to judicial proceedings, arguing that court reporting plays an important role in maintaining transparency in high-profile legal cases.

Authorities, however, have not publicly provided further details regarding the specific reasons for restricting media entry beyond citing official instructions.
Legal proceedings in the case are expected to continue as investigations into the narcotics and weapons charges move forward.
