Ghalibaf accuses US of new war push

Published on: May 20, 2026 9:11 PM

Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf said the United States is trying to restart conflict with Iran. He claimed Washington is using pressure tactics to force Iranian surrender. Moreover, he warned that current actions indicate preparation for renewed war. His remarks were shared through an official audio message. He stressed that Iran will resist all external pressure.

Meanwhile, tensions between the United States and Iran continue to rise. Both sides have exchanged proposals to end ongoing hostilities. However, trust between the two countries remains extremely low. Furthermore, a ceasefire has been in place since April but remains fragile. Officials warn that escalation risks remain high.

Iran’s Revolutionary Guards also issued a strong warning regarding possible future attacks. They said any renewed strikes could expand the conflict beyond the region. In addition, they referred to earlier threats from US leadership about military action. This has increased concerns about regional stability. Military officials said Iran is prepared for a strong response.

Ghalibaf further stated that economic pressure and naval restrictions are being used against Iran. He said these measures aim to weaken Iran’s position in negotiations. Moreover, he called for national unity to withstand external pressure. He emphasized that Iran will not accept intimidation under any circumstances. His remarks reflected growing political and economic tensions.

Finally, he described the situation as a “war of wills” that will shape Iran’s future. He warned that the outcome will define the country’s direction. Meanwhile, diplomatic efforts between Tehran and Washington remain uncertain. Analysts say the situation could shift quickly depending on future talks. The region remains on alert amid ongoing geopolitical uncertainty.
