Blake Lively steps back into spotlight after legal battle

Published on: May 21, 2026 11:08 PM

Blake Lively has started returning to public life after months of legal tension linked to her dispute with Justin Baldoni. The actress recently attended a Gucci jewellery event in New York City, where she appeared relaxed, smiling confidently for cameras and interacting warmly with guests during the high-profile gathering.

Moreover, the public appearance marked Lively’s second consecutive evening at celebrity events, signaling a noticeable shift after she largely avoided media attention throughout the widely discussed legal conflict connected to the film It Ends With Us. Her latest appearances have quickly attracted strong public interest online and across entertainment circles.

The 38-year-old actress chose a simple yet elegant outfit featuring a white top, blue shirt, jeans, and metallic heels, creating a polished but casual look for the evening. As photographers captured her arrival, many observers viewed the appearance as a confident step toward rebuilding her public image after months of controversy.

Meanwhile, legal issues linked to the dispute have not completely ended despite reports of a settlement between the two sides. A judge recently rejected Lively’s request to submit additional legal arguments regarding attorney fees and possible financial damages connected to the ongoing matter, leaving smaller court disputes unresolved for now.

Furthermore, Lively had requested compensation related to Baldoni’s earlier defamation countersuit, arguing it was tied directly to her original retaliation claims during the case. Although her legal team attempted to pursue extra damages afterward, the court declined further filings at this stage of the proceedings.

At the same time, parts of Baldoni’s countersuit were previously dismissed, reducing some pressure surrounding the legal fight that dominated headlines for months. While certain legal matters continue quietly behind the scenes, Lively now appears focused on returning steadily to public events and professional life with renewed confidence.
