According to data released by the Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA), Nishtar Town received 48.5 millimetres of rain, followed by the airport area with 40mm and Johar Town with 37.5mm. Significant rainfall was also recorded in Lakshmi Chowk, Mughalpura, Upper Mall, Tajpura, Gulberg, Iqbal Town, Samanabad, and several other localities across the provincial capital.
The rainfall brought cooler temperatures and welcomed respite for residents after days of above-normal heat. However, the weather also caused some disruptions. Rescue 1122 reported that two people were injured when a wall collapsed onto a rickshaw in Wapda Town. One of the injured was shifted to Jinnah Hospital for medical treatment.
The Pakistan Meteorological Department had earlier forecast rain, thunderstorms, and strong winds in parts of Punjab, including Lahore. The weather system is expected to affect various areas of northeast and eastern Punjab, with the possibility of heavy rain and hailstorms at isolated locations.
In response to the rainfall, WASA launched drainage operations across the city. Managing Director Ghufran Ahmed visited several low-lying areas, including Qurtaba Chowk, Kalma Chowk Underpass, Liberty Chowk, and Main Boulevard Gulberg, to monitor water clearance efforts.
Officials stated that all disposal stations were operating at full capacity to ensure the prompt drainage of accumulated rainwater. Lahore Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Ali Ijaz also inspected key locations and directed field teams to remain vigilant, particularly in low-lying areas vulnerable to urban flooding.
