Saudi Arabia backs Bahrain, urges united regional stability efforts

Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan has emphasized the need for coordinated regional efforts to preserve security and stability following recent tensions involving Bahrain. During a telephone conversation with Bahrain’s foreign minister, the two sides reviewed the latest developments and discussed the implications of recent Iranian attacks on the Kingdom.

Prince Faisal strongly condemned the attacks and reaffirmed Saudi Arabia’s full solidarity with Bahrain at a time of heightened regional uncertainty. He stressed that the Kingdom stands firmly alongside Bahrain and supports all necessary steps aimed at protecting its national security and territorial integrity.

Furthermore, the Saudi foreign minister reiterated Riyadh’s commitment to safeguarding the interests and well-being of Bahraini citizens. He emphasized that ensuring the security of Gulf nations remains a shared responsibility and requires close cooperation among regional partners to address emerging threats effectively.

The discussion also focused on strengthening diplomatic coordination between the two countries as they navigate growing security challenges. Both sides underscored the importance of maintaining open communication and enhancing joint efforts to prevent instability from spreading across the wider region.

Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia’s continued support highlights the strong strategic relationship between Riyadh and Manama, which have long cooperated on political, economic and security matters. Officials view this partnership as an important pillar for preserving peace and strengthening collective resilience against regional risks.

Prince Faisal concluded by stressing that constructive cooperation and unified action remain essential for ensuring long-term stability in the Gulf. He noted that regional countries must work together to protect sovereignty, maintain security and support efforts aimed at reducing tensions and promoting peace.
