Five killed in South Waziristan firing

Published on: June 7, 2026 12:31 AM

Five people were killed and two others injured after rival groups exchanged gunfire over a land dispute in Lower South Waziristan on Saturday. The incident is significant because it highlights the deadly consequences of unresolved property conflicts in tribal districts. The clash affected residents of the Gul Kach area, where authorities launched a response following the violence.

According to police officials, the shooting occurred in the Gul Kach area of Lower South Waziristan. A dispute over land ownership reportedly triggered the confrontation between two groups. The situation quickly escalated into an exchange of gunfire, resulting in multiple casualties.
