A team of the Punjab Chief Minister’s Complaint Cell reached Sargodha and held an open court (Khuli Katcheri) at the Arts Council to address public grievances.
Chairperson of the Chief Minister’s Complaint Cell, Saima Farooq, listened to citizens’ complaints and issued immediate directives for their resolution. Commissioner Hafiz Shaukat Ali, Deputy Commissioner Hussain Ahmad Raza Chaudhry, and District Police Officer (DPO) Sohaib Ashraf were also present.
More than 246 citizens lodged complaints relating to the revenue department, police, sanitation, health, education and sewerage services. Several issues were resolved on the spot, while complicated cases were referred to the relevant departments for further action.
Saima Farooq said the Complaint Cell was actively working to provide immediate relief to the public in line with the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif. She said the presence of representatives of various departments under one roof had made it easier for citizens to seek solutions to their problems.
She added all applications would be followed up regularly and that the team would continue pursuing cases until they were resolved.
Commissioner Hafiz Shaukat Ali said public complaints would be addressed in a transparent manner, while Deputy Commissioner Hussain Ahmad Raza Chaudhry said officials had been assigned timelines for resolving complaints received during the open court.
He added that efforts were being made to ensure the rule of law and provide timely relief to citizens.
