Business fraternity honours SSWMB chief for cleanliness management.

KARACHI: The Managing Director of the Sindh Solid Waste Management Board (SSWMB), Tariq Ali Nizamani, was presented with a Shield of Honour by the Gulbahar Tajir Ittehad Karachi, in recognition of his outstanding services and exemplary performance in ensuring effective cleanliness management and timely removal of sacrificial waste across Karachi during Eidul Adha.

The traders’ representatives appreciated the tireless efforts of SSWMB and its sanitation workforce, stating that the cleanliness arrangements carried out during Eidul Adha significantly contributed to maintaining a clean and healthy environment across the city. They acknowledged that the prompt collection and disposal of animal waste helped minimize inconvenience to citizens and businesses alike.

Speaking on the occasion, MD SSWMB Tariq Ali Nizamani expressed gratitude for the honour and dedicated the award to the sanitation workers, field teams, and officers of the organization.

“This recognition belongs to every sanitation worker and field staff member who worked day and night during Eidul Adha to keep Karachi clean. Their commitment, teamwork, and dedication made it possible for SSWMB to deliver efficient waste management services. We remain committed to further improving cleanliness standards and serving the citizens of Karachi with professionalism and responsibility,” said Nizamani.

The ceremony concluded with the traders’ community reiterating its support for initiatives aimed at improving urban cleanliness and environmental sustainability in Karachi.
