
Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) has released the schedule for MDCAT 2026 for admissions to MBBS and BDS programmes across the country. The announcement outlines key dates for registration, examination, and fee structure for both local and international candidates. The test is a major requirement for medical and dental college admissions nationwide.
According to PMDC, the MDCAT 2026 entry test will be held on August 16 at 10am simultaneously across Pakistan. The responsibility for conducting the exam has been assigned to different universities in each province to ensure smooth nationwide implementation and standardised testing procedures.
In Punjab, the University of Health Sciences Lahore will conduct the exam, while Sukkur IBA University will manage arrangements in Sindh. In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the responsibility has been assigned to Khyber Medical University. Bolan University of Medical and Health Sciences Quetta will oversee the process in Balochistan, while Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Medical University Islamabad will handle Islamabad, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan, as well as candidates appearing from Riyadh.
The public notice states that online registration will begin on June 22, 2026. The last date for regular registration is July 8, while late registration will continue until July 13. PMDC has set the fee at Rs9,000 for candidates appearing in Pakistan and Rs13,000 for late registration. For international test centres, the fee is Rs45,000, increasing to Rs55,000 for late registration.
The council clarified that all fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. Candidates have been advised to complete registration within the given timeline and stay updated through the official websites of the relevant universities for further details.
