Dar, Saudi FM review Doha progress

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar discussed regional developments with Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud during a telephone call on Thursday. The conversation matters because both countries backed continued diplomatic efforts following recent mediation talks in Doha. Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and parties involved in the negotiations are directly affected.

According to an official statement, the two foreign ministers reviewed the regional situation with particular focus on the latest round of mediation talks in Doha. Both leaders welcomed the positive progress achieved during the discussions. They also expressed hope that negotiations would continue in the near future to build on recent momentum.

Prince Faisal bin Farhan praised Pakistan’s role in implementing the memorandum of understanding reached in Islamabad. He acknowledged Islamabad’s contribution to advancing the diplomatic process and supporting dialogue between the parties. The discussion highlighted Pakistan’s continued involvement in regional mediation efforts.

Dar and his Saudi counterpart also reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining close coordination. They agreed to remain in regular contact on regional developments and diplomatic initiatives. Both leaders stressed the importance of dialogue and cooperation in addressing regional challenges.

The telephone conversation reflected the shared commitment of Pakistan and Saudi Arabia to promoting peace and stability through diplomacy. Officials said both countries would continue supporting efforts aimed at sustaining dialogue and encouraging constructive engagement among the parties involved.
