Bunnie Xo opens up about painful IVF struggle

Published on: July 10, 2026 4:11 PM

Bunnie Xo has shared an emotional update about her IVF journey, revealing the physical and emotional challenges she faced while dealing with harsh criticism on social media. Speaking on the July 7 episode of her Dumb Blonde podcast, she explained that fertility treatment caused weight gain, which quickly became the subject of hurtful online comments during one of the most difficult periods of her life.

The podcast host said the criticism deeply affected her because she was focused on building a family rather than responding to public opinions. She explained that undergoing IVF placed significant demands on her body, yet many people ignored the reality of the process. Despite the negativity, Bunnie said she eventually realized that online attacks often come from unhappy individuals and refused to let those comments define her journey.

Bunnie also revealed that she and her estranged husband, Jelly Roll, experienced repeated heartbreak during their fertility treatment. The couple lost four embryos while trying to conceive, a loss she described as emotionally, spiritually, and physically devastating. She added that both of them underwent hormone treatments, saying the difficult experience strengthened their emotional bond despite the challenges they faced together.

Although the couple is moving forward with their divorce, Bunnie said they remain united in their goal of becoming parents. She explained that they have worked through the legal process quickly and continue planning for a child together. According to her, both remain committed to creating a supportive and loving environment for their future family despite the end of their marriage.

Looking ahead, Bunnie said she refuses to let setbacks end her dream of motherhood. She expressed excitement about experiencing life through a child’s eyes and said both she and Jelly Roll remain determined to welcome their future child, whom they affectionately call “Little Nugget.” Her comments highlighted resilience, hope, and a shared commitment to parenthood despite personal changes.
