Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif launched an artificial intelligence-based Prime Minister Office System on Tuesday to replace traditional paperwork with digital governance processes. The platform aims to improve decision-making, monitoring, and implementation of government directives.
Addressing the launch ceremony in Islamabad, Shehbaz directed authorities to ensure immediate and complete implementation of the AI-based system. He said government officials would no longer need to carry physical files for routine work.

According to the Prime Minister’s Office, PMOS will record, communicate, monitor, and track every directive issued by the prime minister. The system is designed to create a digital workflow for government operations.

Meanwhile, Shehbaz praised Information Technology Minister Shaza Fatima Khawaja and the IT secretary for developing and operationalising the platform. He urged ministries and departments to adopt the system for improved public service delivery.
The prime minister was briefed that PMOS is Pakistan’s first government platform using artificial intelligence as a central part of decision-making and implementation monitoring. Officials described it as a major step in federal government digital transformation.

Additionally, the platform includes a secure digital repository that stores government directives and tracks their implementation process. It also integrates analytics and structured information to support policy decisions.
The government plans to expand digital governance reforms beyond the Prime Minister’s Office in the future. Officials said PMOS would help improve resource management, policy monitoring, and administrative efficiency across government institutions.
