Nisar welcomes Shehbaz’s nomination for next PM

Published on: December 22, 2017 7:46 PM

LAHORE: Former interior minister and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan on Friday said that the move of nominating Shehbaz Sharif as PML-N’s next candidate for the premiership in the upcoming General Election would yield “better results”.

Talking to media in Islamabad on Friday, he said PML-N is going through a critical phase as a ruling party.

He urged the PML-N leadership to make decision intellectually saying “some decisions need political consultations.”

“Inclusion of non-political people in a political party damages party’s roots,” said the former interior minister.

He advised political parties to avoid the “policy of clash”.

“I personally don’t like the politics of confrontation,” said the former interior minister adding political parties must avoid confrontation at any cost.

He further said no political worker can even imagine of becoming a part of any movement against the judiciary.
