Celebrities react to Sridevi’s sudden demise

Published on: February 25, 2018 4:55 PM

Legendary Bollywood actress Sridevi passed away on Sunday due to a sudden cardiac arrest in Dubai.

The veteran actress was equally popular in Pakistan. Her last appearance was in a family drama – Mom – released in July last year and starred two Pakistani actors Sajal Ali and Adnan Siddiqui in lead roles.

Aly, who is said to have shared a mother-daughter bond with Sridevi, took to Instagram to share a heartfelt message which said “Lost my mom again..”. Last year in March, Sajal’s mother had passed away.

A source had told India’s Deccan Chronicles regarding the strong relationship between the two stars. It was revealed that after the passing of Sajal’s mother, Sridevi took great care of the Pakistani superstar and ‘treated her like her own daughter’.

The sudden demise has also left the entire film industry, both in India and Pakistan, in state of shock. Prominent film stars from the two neighbouring nations took to Twitter to pay homage to the late queen of Bollywood.

Shocked beyond words to hear about the sad and untimely demise of #Sridevi. A dream for many, had the good fortune of sharing screen space with her long ago and witnessed her continued grace over the years. Thoughts and prayers with the family. RIP 🙏🏻
