Shahid Masood’s claims of Imran Ali’s 27 bank accounts found baseless

Published on: March 1, 2018 3:36 PM

ISLAMABAD: Renowned anchorperson Dr Shahid Masood’s allegations on Zainab murder case convict Imran Ali have on Thursday proven baseless.

An investigation committee was formed to probe into the 18 accusations levelled by Dr Masood. The committee revealed its report to the Supreme Court today, stating that the accusations of Imran’s connection or affiliation with an international mafia of child pornography ring were found baseless.

Furthermore, no evidence was found regarding the claims of any links with a federal minister or for that matter, the 37 foreign bank accounts. Therefore, the 18 accusations were termed as baseless with no substantial evidence of any sort.

Punjab government’s spokesperson Malik Ahmad Khan dismissed the allegations of Dr Masood terming them as ‘reckless’ and a measure of demeaning the efforts and hard work of the provincial government.

Khan stated that the anchorperson’s allegations were fabricated, as the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) thoroughly inspected local and international data and didn’t find any existence of accounts linked to Imran.
