‘Reaching out for help, doesn’t make you weak, it makes you human’: Momina Mustehsan

Published on: May 11, 2018 3:19 PM

Renowned singer Momina Mustehsan recently shared on twitter about her mental health, adding that she had a severe panic attack.

Momina Mustehsan took it to Instagram, posting a picture with a caption stating” Life is incredible, but we all have moments of weakness. While we share our moments of joy and strength on social media, it’s important that we acknowledge that none of us live a picture perfect life.”

Mustehsan in her caption said that she had been working since weeks with hardly any sleep or proper rest. She added that she had kept telling her that she was doing okay until she led herself to mental, physical and emotional exhaustion.

The coke studio singer confessed that she woke up yesterday with a severe panic attack, a reality crushing and paralysing anyone in that particular moment. However she said that, the moment only lasts till the time you want it to stay.

Her Instagram post moved on, reminding her followers that at times dealing with yourself or your issues at times requires help and support of loved ones or those close to u. Momina passed on a strong message in her picture’s caption, stating “Please know that it’s okay to reach out for help. It doesn’t make you weak, it makes you human.”

The singer urged people to keep a check on their loved ones for if they are showing any signs that are unusual or just see and ask if they are doing okay. She added that at times all a person needs is for the other to have faith in them and to remind them that they believe in them.

Momina stressed on that fact that at times all humans need an extra push by those who mean the most to them, no matter how self-sufficient they are.

The star concluded her picture post, with a thank you note to all her dear ones who supported her in her time of distress. She appreciated them for helping her stand back up before falling from this panic attack and for making her realize that she needs to work on becoming a better human being every time and every day.
