DUBLIN: Day 1 of Ireland’s first-ever Test match against Pakistan was called off due to wet outfield on Friday.
The match was expected to kick-off at 3pm Pakistan Standard Time, but due to poor playing conditions, the start was delayed.
The umpires inspect the conditions at 4pm again, but did not find the conditions satisfactory.
It was further announced that Day 2 of the Test match will consist of 98 overs instead of the designated 90 overs a day.
