PML-N supporter takes Maryam’s election campaign to the streets with a lion

Published on: July 2, 2018 1:30 PM

LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supporter kicks off Maryam Nawaz’s election campaign with a lion in the streets of NA-127 Lahore constituency.

As the general elections approach near, with Maryam Nawaz in London tending to her ailing mother, a PML-N supporter on Monday started Maryam’s election campaign on her behalf.

The party supporter took to the streets to show off party’s symbol with a real lion.

The identified supporter Mian Zia said that “I will run Maryam’s campaign and walk this lion every day to the streets of NA-127 constituency till the polling day”.

The former premier’s daughter is contesting polls in the upcoming general elections from NA-127 Lahore constituency and Punjab Assembly PP-173.

Maryam will be contesting against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Jamshed Iqbal Cheema from Lahore.

Earlier, sources reported that it is expected that Nawaz along with Maryam will be returning to Pakistan within a week. Although rumors have been surfacing that the PML-N leaders duo are faking Kulsoom Nawaz’s illness to escape judgement of the supplementary corruption references.
