“Pak Army shall continue to contribute towards nation building as a national institution”, COAS said in the meeting.

Pakistanis from all over the world have started donating to the dams fund on the call of Prime Minister Imran Khan.

The prime minister had announced establishment of the PM Fund for the construction of the Diamer-Basha dam in Gilgit-Baltistan and the Mohmand dam in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa after consultation with the CJP Nisar.

Pakistan cricket team captain Sarfraz Ahmed had also announced that the entire team would donate Rs 3.2 million. A day earlier, singer Atif Aslam and ICC umpire Aleem Dar donated millions for the construction of dams in Pakistan.

The fundraising campaign for the construction of new dams in Pakistan was established by the CJP amid threat of water scarcity in Pakistan.
