Published on: April 15, 2019 1:37 AM

Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) of Punjab Police on Sunday arrested a wanted terrorist of banned outfit in an action in Khushab, a private channel reported.

According to the CTD spokesperson, the arrested outlaw is trained and was busy in collecting funds, when he was rounded up by the CTD team.

The outlaw is said to be from Khanewal, while rupees 200,000 were confiscated from his custody.

Earlier this week, Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) of Karachi Police has arrested a terrorist of outlawed Jundullah terror group.

Arrested terrorist Mohammad Ishaq alias Gul was named in the red book, CTD chief Raja Umar Khattab told the media.

Police recovered a suicide jacket and a hand grenade from his possession, the police officer said.

According to the officer, the alleged terrorist had entered in Balochistan from Afghanistan and then arrived in interior of Sindh.

He had come to Karachi for a major terrorist attack in the metropolis, the CTD in-charge officer claimed.

Ishaq alias Gul was a neighbor of Ataur Rehman alias Naeem Bukhari of banned Lashkar-e-Jhangvi terrorist group, he said.

Action against the banned outfit is in full swing across the country in the light of NSC decision.
