CM announces compensation for PDMA officer who died on flood duty

Abdul Rehman, a District Disaster Management Officer of Multan, breathed his last due to a heart attack while performing his duty in Multan. Director-General Provincial Disaster Management Authority Irfan Ali Kathia said that Abdul Rehman was performing his responsibilities in the flood-affected areas for the last one month without any break. Relief Commissioner Nabil Javed also condoled the sudden death of Abdul Rehman. In his condolence message, Irfan Ali Kathia expressed his heartfelt grief and sorrow over the sudden and sad demise of Abdul Rehman. He prayed to Almighty Allah to rest the departed soul in eternal peace and grant courage to the bereaved family to bear irreparable loss with fortitude and courage. He said that the services rendered by the deceased will be remembered forever. Meanwhile, Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif announced a financial assistance of Rs 10 million for PDMA Officer Abdul Rehman, who died while performing official duties. She paid tribute to the services of Late Abdul Rehman.
