Published on: October 24, 2025 11:43 AM

Washington D.C. — White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt announced that President Trump will travel to Asia tomorrow to attend the ASEAN Summit, hold bilateral meetings in Japan and Busan, and meet with Chinese President Xi Jinping to discuss economic cooperation and regional security. Leavitt emphasized that the trip aims to strengthen trade relations, security partnerships, and regional stability, reflecting renewed U.S. engagement in Asia.

On domestic matters, she blamed Democrats for the ongoing government shutdown, citing disruptions to air travel and the financial strain on federal employees. Leavitt also criticized the Biden administration’s immigration policies, claiming they negatively impact American families and public resources.

Addressing the White House renovation, she confirmed it is fully privately funded, costing approximately $300 million, with no taxpayer money involved. On foreign policy, she reiterated Trump’s firm stance on Russia sanctions while leaving the door open for potential meetings.

Leavitt also discussed initiatives to support struggling farmers, ongoing anti-drug operations, and cooperation with local authorities on city clean-up efforts. Responding to questions about gambling, she denied any involvement by President Trump. She concluded by announcing that the President’s latest physical health report will soon be released.
