Sindh launches digital job portal to ensure merit-based hiring

Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah launched the Sindh Job Portal on Monday to provide jobs based on merit. The portal will cover positions from Grade 5 to Grade 15. Shah said the system will operate transparently and reduce corruption in hiring. He called the initiative a milestone in public service delivery and digital governance.

Shah highlighted that the portal will empower citizens and make public services more accessible. He said it will strengthen accountability and provide equal opportunities across the province. He added that the government aims to use technology to deliver better results and improve citizens’ lives.

He emphasized building a digitally strong and future-ready Sindh. The Chief Minister said the portal is part of broader efforts to modernize governance. He noted that the initiative reflects transparency, efficiency, and citizen empowerment at every level of administration.

Shah praised the Science and IT Department for leading the project. He said the portal is comprehensive, citizen-focused, and a model for effective digital governance. It will improve access to jobs while creating a streamlined and accountable system for recruitment.

The Chief Minister said more digital public service platforms will follow in urban and rural areas. He added that the department is expanding e-learning, skill training, smart governance, and data-driven decision-making. Shah concluded that the portal marks a new era of technology-based, merit-focused public service in Sindh.
