Launch of BYD Sealion 7, BYD Atto 2 announced in Pakistan

Published on: January 25, 2026 2:10 AM

Mega Motor Company (MMC), in partnership with BYD, the world’s no.1 New Energy Vehicle (NEV) manufacturer, announced the launch of BYD Sealion 7 and BYD Atto 2 in Pakistan, marking another milestone in the country’s transition towards clean and sustainable mobility. Launched at a dealership event in Lahore, the two models strengthen BYD-MMC’s growing NEV portfolio in Pakistan by addressing both premium and urban lifestyle segments, with bookings now open nationwide.

The BYD Sealion 7 is a premium SUV with luxury-first cabin engineered to compete with the world’s leading premium EVs on ride quality, technology, and safety. One of BYD’s highest-selling models in the Asia-Pacific region, the Sealion 7 delivers uncompromising performance with 380 Nm of torque and 308 hp (230 kW) delivering 0-100 km/h acceleration in just 6.7 seconds and a braking distance of 37m from 100-0 km/h. Combined with an ultra-long range of up to 567 km on a single charge, the Sealion 7 stands apart as a compelling choice for bold, confident drivers seeking a truly performance-led electric SUV.

The BYD Atto 2 is a smart, all-electric SUV designed for Pakistani drivers, bringing BYD’s signature design and intelligent technology for everyday use. The Atto 2 offers advanced features including keyless start with NFC card access, a 50W wireless charging pad, ergonomic electric and ventilated seats, and an intuitive cabin layout. On performance, the Atto 2 is the fastest car in its category, delivering a 0-100 km/h acceleration in 7.9 seconds. With up to 75% lower running and maintenance costs compared to ICE vehicles at a comparable driving range of 380 km, the Atto 2 makes the transition to electric mobility both practical and cost-effective.

Both models are built on BYD’s proprietary technologies, including the Blade Battery, engineered for exceptional safety, durability, and thermal stability. They are further supported by BYD’s e-Platform 3.0, which enhances range, charging efficiency, and overall performance, and the industry-first 8-in-1 electric powertrain, integrating key components to reduce weight, improve efficiency, and deliver a smoother, more reliable driving experience.

Speaking at the launch, Lei Jian, Country Head of BYD Pakistan, said, “We are delighted to introduce two of our highest-selling models to Pakistan. These launches reinforce our commitment to transforming the country’s automotive landscape by bringing BYD’s globally proven technology and innovation to local customers. As the world’s No.1 NEV brand, BYD now offers a portfolio in Pakistan designed to meet diverse customer needs and journeys, making the transition to new energy vehicles both practical and rewarding.”

Danish Khaliq, Vice President – Sales and Strategy at BYD Pakistan – Mega Motor Company, added, “At BYD-MMC, we are expanding our portfolio to ensure there is a vehicle for every journey, every ambition, and every stage of Pakistan’s transition to electric mobility. From an all-electric smart SUV designed for urban mobility to a premium, performance-led SUV, these two launches introduce possibilities that have not existed in their segments before. The Atto 2 offers a smart, value-driven entry into electric mobility, while the Sealion 7 stands in a league of its own, setting new benchmarks for premium electric SUVs in Pakistan. We are excited about the future of mobility in Pakistan, forward-looking, electric, and built for the long term.”

Bookings for both models are now open. The BYD Atto 2 will be available in Pakistan at PKR 7.29 million, with a booking price of PKR 1,400,000. While the BYD Sealion 7 will be available in Pakistan at PKR 15.490 million, with a booking price of PKR 3,000,000.

A limited-time introductory offer is available on bookings for both models until February 28, including a complimentary 7 kW wall-mounted home charger, with vehicle pricing inclusive of freight and inland transit insurance, ensuring complete transparency with no additional charges. The offer also includes a 10-year warranty on the low-voltage LFP battery. For Atto 2 customers, the first two charging sessions will be offered free at any HubcoGreen station, while Sealion 7 customers will get free installation of the 7kW charger.

Beyond vehicles, BYD-MMC, in partnership with HubcoGreen, is building Pakistan’s first nationwide new energy vehicle (NEV) charging corridor, spanning approximately 1,300 kilometers from Karachi to Peshawar and covering major cities and motorways.
