Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi on Thursday called on Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari at the Zardari House and discussed the political and administrative situation of the province along with issues being faced by the people.
During the meeting, Kundi informed the PPP chairman about difficulties in wheat supply to the province and said the people were facing hardships due to the situation.
He also briefed Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on the gas supply issue and said that the matter had been resolved after taking all political parties into confidence. The Governor said that uninterrupted gas supply had led to the reopening of CNG stations across the province.
Bilawal Bhutto Zardari directed the governor to play his role in resolving the wheat supply issue and immediately inform him after progress on the matter.
The PPP chairman said all political parties should jointly work for protecting the rights of the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Separately, Azad Jammu and Kashmir Prime Minister Faisal Mumtaz Rathore briefed Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on the political and administrative situation, at the Zardari House.
“In a short span of six months, we have restored the public’s confidence in the political system,” Rathore said during the meeting. “We have strengthened the relationship between the state and Pakistan,” Prime Minister Faisal Mumtaz Rathore said in his discussion with Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.
Rathore said that projects for the construction of 500 kilometers of roads in Azad Jammu and Kashmir had been implemented, adding that extraordinary measures had been taken to attract tourists from around the world.
Bilawal asked Rathore about the progress made in resolving public issues in AJK.
Rathore assured Bilawal that they were striving for the complete resolution of public issues and would not ignore any public problem in Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
Bilawal directed Rathore to engage with stakeholders and public representatives to resolve public issues in the best possible manner.
