Pakistani actress Meera has described her upcoming film Psycho as a unique psychological thriller that explores the hidden fears and emotional conflicts within the human mind.

Speaking during the film’s promotional campaign, she said the project presents a fresh and thought-provoking cinematic experience for audiences.

Meera said the film is based on the idea that “the real enemy lives in the mind,” and focuses on themes of fear, emotions, perception, and psychological struggles. She added that Psycho moves beyond conventional commercial storytelling and introduces a darker and more mature narrative to Pakistani cinema.

The actress praised the film’s suspense-driven screenplay, visual presentation, and overall production quality, expressing confidence that audiences in Pakistan and abroad would appreciate the film’s distinctive psychological theme. She also acknowledged the dedication and hard work of the cast and production team in bringing the ambitious project to the screen.

On the occasion, Farha Naz Akbar said that Psycho reflects a positive new direction for Pakistani cinema by presenting audiences with a strong psychological narrative supported by quality storytelling and impactful performances. She expressed hope that the film would receive appreciation both locally and internationally following its worldwide release.

Farooq Mirza, Chairman of 4th Pillar, also said that films like Psycho are important for the growth of Pakistan’s film industry as they encourage meaningful storytelling and creative experimentation. He noted that the project highlights the evolving standard of Pakistani cinema and has the potential to attract audiences seeking quality psychological and suspense-based content.

Psycho is scheduled for a worldwide release on Eid-ul-Adha 2026 and has already generated attention for its suspense-filled teaser, cinematic visuals and ambitious storytelling.
