During the conversation, Araghchi expressed concern over what he described as Israeli violations of the ceasefire in Lebanon. He also raised reservations regarding reports of possible Israeli military actions in parts of Beirut, warning that such developments could further increase tensions in the region.

The Iranian foreign minister acknowledged Pakistan’s diplomatic engagement and appreciated Islamabad’s efforts to support dialogue and de-escalation. He encouraged Pakistan to continue playing a constructive role in promoting peace and reducing tensions through diplomatic channels.

Ishaq Dar emphasized the importance of preserving the ceasefire and avoiding actions that could undermine regional stability. He said maintaining existing understandings and agreements was essential for preventing further escalation and creating conditions conducive to peace.

The Pakistani foreign minister noted that continued adherence to ceasefire commitments would strengthen broader efforts aimed at promoting security and stability across the Middle East. He reiterated Pakistan’s support for peaceful conflict resolution and dialogue as the preferred means of addressing regional disputes.

Both leaders agreed on the need for sustained diplomatic engagement to address emerging challenges and prevent a deterioration of the security situation. They also reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining regular communication on regional and bilateral matters.
