Gold prices edge down by Rs 43 per tola

The prices of gold witnessed a slight decline in the local market on Saturday, with 24 karat gold per tola decreasing by Rs43 to settle at Rs437,993, according to rates issued by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association. Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24 karat gold fell by Rs39 to Rs374,166, whereas 10 grams of 22 karat gold declined by Rs35 to Rs343,290. In the international market, the price of gold decreased by $0.43 to $4,155.57 per ounce. Meanwhile, the price of silver per tola increased by Rs16 to Rs6,962 while the price of 10 grams of silver rose by Rs14 to Rs5,909. The price of silver in the international market also increased by $0.158 to $64.828 per ounce, the association reported.
