Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian Concludes One-Day Visit to Pakistan

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has completed his one-day visit to Pakistan and departed for Tehran after holding a series of high-level meetings with Pakistan’s civilian and military leadership. The visit focused on bilateral relations, regional peace efforts, and diplomatic cooperation. The Masoud Pezeshkian Pakistan visit highlighted the growing engagement between the two neighboring countries.

President Pezeshkian was seen off at Islamabad by Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, and other senior Pakistani officials. During the farewell ceremony, the Iranian president was presented with a photo album containing memories and highlights of his visit.

The Iranian leader arrived in Islamabad on Tuesday, where he was welcomed at Nur Khan Air Base by President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, and Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar. He later visited the Prime Minister’s House, where a guard of honor was presented by a contingent of the armed forces.

During the visit, the national anthems of both countries were played, and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif introduced members of the federal cabinet to the Iranian president. President Pezeshkian also introduced members of his delegation and planted a commemorative tree on the lawn of the Prime Minister’s House.

The Iranian president held separate meetings with President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir. According to officials, the primary purpose of the Masoud Pezeshkian Pakistan visit was to acknowledge and appreciate Pakistan’s efforts in facilitating dialogue and mediation between Iran and the United States. During the visit, President Pezeshkian thanked Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for Pakistan’s constructive diplomatic role.
