Allama Nasir Madani hospitalised after illness

Published on: July 3, 2026 7:11 PM

Religious scholar Allama Nasir Madani was hospitalised after falling ill while delivering a sermon before Friday prayers in Jahanian. He was initially treated at a local hospital before being shifted to the Multan Cardiology Hospital. Doctors said his condition is stable and he remains under medical care.

According to police officials, the incident occurred in Jahanian, a tehsil of Khanewal district, before the start of Friday prayers. Allama Nasir Madani was addressing worshippers when he suddenly collapsed from his chair. Those present immediately came to his assistance and arranged emergency medical treatment.

He was first taken to a nearby hospital, where doctors provided initial medical care. Subsequently, medical staff referred him to the Multan Cardiology Hospital for specialised treatment and further evaluation. Authorities ensured his transfer was completed without delay.

Hospital doctors said the religious scholar’s condition had improved following treatment. They added that he remains under observation while receiving appropriate medical care. No further details about the cause of his illness were immediately released.

The incident prompted concern among followers and worshippers attending the congregation. Officials have urged the public to rely on verified updates regarding his health. Medical teams continue monitoring his condition as treatment progresses.
