Gold prices up by Rs 3,600 per tola

The prices of gold witnessed a significant increase in the local market on Thursday, with the price of 24-karat gold per tola rising by Rs3,600 to settle at Rs433,836, according to rates issued by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association. Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold increased by Rs3,086 to Rs371,944, while the price of 10 grams of 22-karat gold went up by Rs2,829 to Rs340,961. In the international market, the price of gold rose by $36 to settle at $4,113 per ounce. Meanwhile, the price of silver per tola remained unchanged at Rs6,421, while the price of 10 grams of silver also stayed unchanged at Rs5,504. The price of silver in the international market remained unchanged at $59.42 per ounce, the association reported.
