لاہور: اچھرہ میں ٹیوشن سینٹر کے واش روم سے 10 سالہ بچی کی لاش برآمد

A 10-year-old girl was found unconscious in the washroom of a tuition centre in Lahore’s Ichhra area and was later pronounced dead at a hospital, prompting police to launch a detailed investigation into the incident.

The incident occurred in Ittihad Colony, where the child, identified as Naeema, had gone with her two sisters to attend classes at a tuition centre operating from a residential house. According to initial information, Naeema told her sisters she was going to the washroom but did not return for an extended period.

Concerned by the delay, her elder sister went to check on her and found Naeema lying unconscious. Family members and local residents gathered at the scene before the child was rushed to a nearby hospital, where doctors confirmed her death.

Police said the tuition centre is run by two sisters and has been operating for some time, with around 15 to 20 girls from the neighbourhood attending classes there. Residents told investigators that no similar incident had previously been reported at the centre.

The victim’s father, Adnan, who works as a rickshaw driver, said he did not know how his daughter died and expressed hope that justice would be served.

According to police officials, marks were found on the child’s neck during the initial examination, leading investigators to widen the scope of the inquiry. Authorities said they are examining all possible circumstances surrounding the death and have not reached any final conclusions.

Several local residents have been taken into custody for questioning as part of the investigation. Police said the exact cause of death will be determined after the post-mortem examination, and further action will be taken based on forensic evidence and the investigation’s findings. Officials have urged the public to avoid speculation until the investigation is completed.
