Pakistan’s Ambassador to China, Khalil Hashmi, highlighted Pakistan’s investment-friendly policies and vast business opportunities while addressing the China (Gansu)-Pakistan Industry Promotion and Economic & Trade Matchmaking Conference held in Lanzhou, China.
The conference, jointly hosted by the People’s Government of Gansu Province and the Embassy of Pakistan in China, brought together over 120 participants, including government officials, business leaders, industry representatives and entrepreneurs from Pakistan and China.
Addressing the participants, Ambassador Hashmi briefed them on Pakistan’s evolving investment policy landscape and the opportunities available in 21 priority sectors. He also highlighted the efforts of the Embassy of Pakistan in Beijing and its four Consulates General in China to facilitate and mobilize Chinese investment in Pakistan. The conference featured thematic presentations by senior officials of the Gansu Provincial Government, representatives of Chinese enterprises, the Embassy of Pakistan, Pakistani companies and financial institutions. An interactive session and business matchmaking meetings were also held to promote partnerships and strengthen bilateral economic and trade cooperation.
