The Canadian pop star and the South Korean group BTS were among the headline performers at the 11-minute musical spectacle held at MetLife Stadium during the 2026 World Cup final between Argentina and Spain on July 19.

After completing his performance, Bieber was greeted by V, who congratulated the singer as he walked backstage. A video showing the two global stars sharing a warm hug quickly spread across social media, with fans praising the interaction as a memorable meeting between two of the biggest names in international music.

Bieber performed an acoustic version of his emotional ballad “Everything Hallelujah” from his album Swag II, delivering a stripped-down performance featuring only his vocals and guitar.

Meanwhile, BTS performed their worldwide hit “Dynamite” from 2020, appearing in coordinated black-and-red outfits and adding football-themed lyrics to match the occasion. The group’s performance further highlighted their global popularity and connection with fans across different cultures.

The halftime show was described as a landmark event, bringing together major figures from the music industry for one of football’s biggest stages. Before the performances, actors Jason Sudeikis and Brendan Hunt from the series Ted Lasso introduced the artists with a comedic segment.

The star-studded lineup also included other international performers such as Madonna, Shakira, Burna Boy, and Coldplay, making the event one of the most widely watched entertainment moments connected to the World Cup.
