Punjab Police have provided a house worth Rs13.5 million to the family of martyred Constable Anas Sattar under its welfare programme for the families of police martyrs. According to a Punjab Police spokesperson, the house was purchased in a private housing society in Multan in accordance with the family’s preference. The required funds were released by the Punjab government. The spokesperson said Constable Anas embraced martyrdom in 2024 during an exchange of fire with dacoits while performing official duties in the Katcha area. He was survived by his widow and a son. Punjab Inspector General of Police (IGP) Abdul Kareem paid tribute to the sacrifice of the martyred constable, saying that Anas Sattar laid down his life in the line of duty with courage and dedication. The IGP said Punjab Police would never forget the supreme sacrifice of its brave personnel and remained committed to ensuring the welfare of the families of its martyrs. He said Punjab Police was the custodian of the legacy of more than 1,700 martyrs, adding that providing the best possible welfare and support to the families of fallen police personnel would continue to remain one of the force’s top priorities.
