‘Pindi Boys’ are back on Pepsi Battle of the Bands – Take a look at their exclusive video

Published on: August 9, 2018 10:19 PM

As the whole nation gears up for the Independence Day, Pepsi is all set to bring another scintillating episode of ‘Pepsi Battle of the Bands’. But this week it’s going to be bigger and better as ‘Pindi Boys’ are returning to the loft.

That’s not all, the episode will be based on the theme of the Independence Day and ‘Pindi Boys’ will perform the iconic track of “Tu Hai Kahan” which was released back in 2003, featuring many big names like Strings, Wasim Akram, Junaid Jamshed and Haroon. In this exclusive video snippet of the rendition received by Daily Times, you can see ‘Pindi Boys’ collaborating on the anthem with the vocalists of top four bands, which includes Asfar Hussain (Bayaan Band), Bilal Ahmed (Tamasha Band), Qamar Parvi (Xarb Band) and Yahya Fareed (21 The Band).

Pakistan is blessed with immense talent and Pepsi have been extracting it for quite a long time now. Pepsi Pakistan is a company that has been promoting the country’s youth since long now. Remember the company investing in Vital Signs in 90s? Even if you recall the original track ‘Tu Hai Kahan’ you’d remember that Strings, Junaid Jamshed and Haroon , all were young musicians at that time who had succeeded eventually in becoming household names in that era. So this is definitely not the first time that Pepsi is promoting young musicians through Pepsi Battle of the Bands but is a tradition that company has been following since decades. The first season of the show gave prominence and rise to many bands including Aaroh, EP, Mekaal Hassan Band and many others in 2000s.

We are still not over with the ‘Kashmir vs Badnaam’ fever and the third season is already reaching closer to its finale while we can’t wait to see which two bands will be competing against each other to win the battle.

But this week’s highlight is definitely this performance of Pindi Boys who will be seen sharing the stage with top 4 bands of season 3. It’s amazing to see that one of the top bands from Season 2 of the show will be collaborating with the bands of this year’s season for a song that was originally also a fantastic and memorable collaboration of our then celebrated bands and musicians. To us, it seems like that we can expect a jaw dropping performance from the group of these young performers on this Saturday’s episode.
