COAS Asim Munir attends navy parade, praises cadets and naval role in defence

KARACHI – Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir attended the commissioning parade at Pakistan Naval Academy PNS Rahbar on Saturday as the chief guest. A smartly turned-out contingent of the Pakistan Navy presented him with a ceremonial salute upon arrival.

Field Marshal Munir reviewed the commissioning parade of the 123rd Midshipmen and the 31st Short Service Commission course. The ceremony started with the recitation of the Holy Quran and continued with the distribution of awards to outstanding cadets.

Cadet Abdul Rehman received the prestigious Sword of Honour for his exceptional performance during training. Field Marshal Munir personally presented the awards and congratulated the graduating cadets for successfully completing their courses with dedication.

During his address, the Army Chief praised the Pakistan Navy’s vital role in safeguarding the nation’s maritime borders. He also highlighted the importance of inter-services coordination in maintaining strong national defence.

The event was attended by high-ranking officials, foreign diplomats, and proud families of the cadets. Graduating cadets took an oath to protect Pakistan with loyalty and courage as they stepped into their professional naval careers.

The ceremony reflected the Navy’s commitment to excellence and discipline. It also showcased the strength and spirit of Pakistan’s future military leadership prepared to defend the country on all fronts.
