Gold price surges by Rs3,200 per tola in Pakistan

Published on: July 10, 2025 4:25 PM

KARACHI – July 10, 2025: The price of gold in Pakistan jumped by Rs3,200 per tola on Thursday, following a rise in international markets. With this increase, the local price per tola reached Rs354,700, according to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).

The price of 10 grams of gold also went up by Rs2,744, reaching Rs304,098. This recovery comes a day after gold prices in Pakistan fell by Rs3,000 per tola. On Wednesday, the rate had dropped to Rs351,500.

In the global market, the gold price rose to $3,324 per ounce, which includes a $20 premium. The international price increased by $32, which directly influenced the domestic hike.

Meanwhile, silver prices also saw a slight increase. The price per tola of silver rose by Rs10, bringing it to Rs3,851.

Experts say the upward trend in gold is linked to global economic uncertainty, inflation concerns, and a weaker dollar, all of which often push investors toward safe-haven assets like gold and silver.
