Sikh leader Ramesh Singh Arora has expressed deep gratitude to Pakistan’s Army Chief General Asim Munir for his timely flood relief efforts. General Munir visited the flood-hit regions of Punjab, including Sialkot, Shakargarh, Narowal, and Kartarpur. During his visit, he assured the Sikh community that their religious sites would be fully restored. The Army Chief’s swift response to the floods earned him praise from both the local community and Sikh leaders worldwide.
Arora specifically praised the Army for its quick action in Kartarpur’s Darbar Sahib, a sacred Sikh shrine. He said, “What you did, we have no words to express.” Arora highlighted how the army’s personnel remained on-site, ensuring the safe evacuation of the last person. He stressed that this action reflected the army’s deep commitment to the Sikh community, showcasing its dedication and care.
Arora further commended General Munir for personally visiting Kartarpur, which boosted the pride of Sikhs across the globe. He noted that the Army Chief’s visit would be seen as a positive symbol of Pakistan’s support for minorities. The Sikh leader added that Sikhs worldwide would feel an increased sense of respect for the country after hearing of the Army Chief’s visit.
Additionally, Arora emphasized that Sikhs from around the world now view Pakistan as a safe haven for minorities. He shared that many Sikhs have publicly stated that the country is the safest place for them. The leader praised the government’s efforts to protect the rights and religious freedoms of the Sikh community, particularly during crises like the recent floods.
