Salman Agha assures full readiness for Pak-India battle

Published on: September 9, 2025 3:51 PM

Pakistan’s T20 captain, Salman Ali Agha, said the team is fully prepared for the upcoming Pakistan-India match. He emphasized that no special instructions were needed. Instead, the team will focus on their own game and performance. Salman also noted that if any players show strong emotions, Pakistan is ready to respond in kind. This confident approach sets a clear tone for the high-pressure encounter.

The captain shared his thoughts during the Asia Cup trophy unveiling event in Dubai, attended by all team captains. Speaking to the media, Salman highlighted that fast bowlers would play a key role in showing aggression. He added that the team’s goal is to perform at 100 percent in every match. Their recent success in a tri-series boosted the team’s confidence ahead of the tournament.

Salman also mentioned that Pakistani players have ample experience playing in Dubai conditions. He reminded that in T20 cricket, favorites can change quickly with just a few overs. The Asia Cup format allows any team to perform exceptionally well. Salman assured that Pakistan is ready to face every challenge that comes their way.

Meanwhile, India’s captain, Surya Kumar Yadav, said the team is excited and focused. He admitted that it has been a while since they played a T20 tournament. Surya expressed hope that India will perform strongly in the Asia Cup. Afghanistan’s captain, Rashid Khan, also spoke, promising hard work and a strong tournament showing.

The Asia Cup 2025 starts today in the UAE, with the opening match between Hong Kong and Afghanistan. This year’s tournament follows the T20 format, like in 2016 and 2022. All teams are gearing up for tough competition and exciting cricket. Fans worldwide are eager to see these top teams battle on the field.
